In the plan to promote relations with Turkish partners, a delegation of Vietnam Institute for Africa and Middle East Studies (IAMES) led by IAMES Director General - Dr. Bui Nhat Quang has made visit to Turkey in early October. During the visit, IAMES delegations had the ocassion to discuss with various Turkish institutions on matters ranging from Vietnam - Turkey relations to Turkish role in the Middle East, perspective about the ongoing "Arab Spring" and possible academic cooperation between IAMES and Turkish partners.
The study-tour in Turkey appeared to be very successful, promising to enhance IAMES's cooperative relations with Turkish institutions such as the Ankara University, Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ORSAM and PASIAD. During the visit, an Academic Cooperation Protocol has also been signed between IAMES of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Ankara University.
